Storytelling lies at the heart of Brad's purpose and mission.
His signature talk, What Does Your Heart Beat For? is a dynamic presentation meant to challenge audience members to find their passion and purpose in the world. His words have inspired thousands of students, athletes, members of faith communities, non-profits, companies, and eager listeners wanting to find their passions and what makes them feel fully alive.
The story is never the same twice, and is complete improvisation built on many chapters that have shaped Brad's life, passion, and purpose along the way:
First, the unpredictable journey of his independent band Dispatch…a band that drew more than 110,000 fans to one epic concert, despite having rarely ever had one of their songs played on the radio.
Second, Brad's exploration of and connection to people in over 40 countries, discovering what passion looks like across all cultures.
And lastly, the meeting of a little girl in a trash dump community that inspired the founding of Love Light + Melody. This is the story of Ileana and her family in the most horrific and hell-like trash dump outside of Managua, Nicaragua. Brad shares the narratives and human relationships that followed...the light and darkness....and what we can learn from her death.
The chapters Brad shares are designed to awaken the rhythms and heartbeat of each listener. They are designed to invoke questions that every person must ultimately answer:
What is our heartbeat trying to tell us about our purpose?
What sacrifices are absolutely worth the cost?
How do we get started in serving someone or something?
